Then on 10/04/10 17:57 "NoOp" advised (off list):
> 'sudo apt-get install > linux-backports-modules-alsa-karmic-generic',
> reboot and then open gnome-alsamixer to see what you get.
Which also worked a treat, introducing a choice of "Connector" into the
Gnome Sound Preferences, of Microphone 1 (which works now as the rear
jack) Microphone 2 and Line In.
Strange that a "backports" package is needed for such newish hardware.
