Ubuntu 10.04 BETA1 (Lucid)

I've been using the Ambiance theme, which I customized a tad. Up till 
now, the 3 icons at the top have been on the left, which none of us, or 
at least most of us haven't liked. Tonight, I brought up this laptop and 
didn't have ANY icons at the top of any window. I updated, went into 
"Appearance" and chose another theme, then my "custom" theme again, 
logged out and logged back in again. Now the 3 icons are on the
right where they belong!! Is this something strange on just my system or 
has someone else the same experience?
