MSI Atom with Intel 945GC graphics Xorg issues with 10.04 beta 1

I have an Ubuntu server that I just (perhaps mistakenly) upgrade to Ubuntu
10.04 from 9.10. All the essential things are working fine (apache, mysql,
etc etc) but it never seems to get to loading Gnome. I believe I saw on one
of the MANY forums I googled looking into this that the current intel video
drivers are messed up or something.

Any ideas on what to do? I'd love to get Gnome working again, but I suppose
I could wait until 10.04 is released officially.......
