Hello fellow Ubuntu users,

I wanted to let you know about a change that has been implemented on Launchpad
for filing bugs about Ubuntu.

In an effort to increase the amount of information contained in initial bug
reports about Ubuntu and reduce the number of follow-up questions required to
make a bug report complete we are asking that bug reporters use apport to
report bugs about Ubuntu. This is part of the Increase Apport Adoption
specification[1] drawn up at the last Ubuntu Developer Summit.

On Launchpad the "Report a bug" links for Ubuntu and its packages now
redirect to a wiki page[2] explaining how to use apport to file bugs
about Ubuntu.

If you have any specific questions or concerns please let me know. By using
apport to report more detailed bug reports we will help to help make Ubuntu
even better!
