methods to download all the available packages for x86-hardy

Hi all,

I am doing some statistical analysis on the Ubuntu packages. Do we have
methods to download all the available packages for a specific Ubuntu
version and machine?

Also, anybody can give a basic prediction about how many packages are
there, and how many disk spaces are needed to store them, is 20G enough?
