Parallel Printer

I am changing my network around here at home. The one major change I
want to do is to make my printers available on the network, without a
running "Print Server" PC.

If I buy a Parallel -> USB converter cable, will Ubuntu be able to
access the printer OK via a USB Print Server like the Netgear PS121.

The cable I am thinking about is very inexpensive on Ebay. Item
number :300342345647.
