You may want to check and make sure that the image checksum is
correct... All my images download as ~690-699mb, so your download may
have gotten screwed up somewhere along the line.
To check this (i'll assume you're using windows) follow the directions
listed here: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/HowToMD5SUM#MD5SUM%20on%
20Windows
If the sum checks out, then you may want to try burining the ISO anyway.
the ISO itself is actually (i believe) a bit-for-bit copy of a CD, so
burning it to a CD with your favorite burning software should work just
fine.
