I think this *is* designed badly, though. The ability to post inline
was something I thought so ubiquitous and harmless that there's no need
to check a prospective mail client supports it.
Top posting by default I can understand and live with, but the
inability to even move the cursor? That just feels so wrong.
As I say, I can understand the desire and practice of top-posting, but
I can't understand the desire to remove the ability to do anything else.
