Well, no, I'm NOT using Canonical's free OS.  I'm using Ubuntu.  It should 
be free of Canonical advertizing.  Those messages have been annoying me on 
my VMs, too.

Apparently Canonical is free to modify my motd, too.  Who else, I wonder?
