Initramfs and unable to run or load Ubuntu to my HD

Hi,
It is a: PC Clone
OS:None yet-I am trying to install Ubuntu 9:04
MB:Asus P3V133
RAM:1536M
BIOS: Award Modular v6.0
Proc:Intel Pentium IIIE, 700MHZ
HD:Maxwell 250GB
Video card: 3DBX VOODOO
Monitor: Samsung 204T 
KB:Standard USA
Mouse:P2

1)8:04 Hardy won't boot or play live either
2)(space)rootdelay=90(press F8 key again) If it boot's w/#2 then it's
probably related to 290153did not work

You might try 2 things:

1. See if 8.04 (Hardy) liveCD boots ok.
2. With the 9.04 (Jaunty) liveCD: at the main startup screen (shows "Try
Ubuntu without any change...") press F8 and then enter:
 rootdelay=90(F8)
That's: (space)rootdelay=90(press F8 key again) If it boot's w/#2 then it's
probably related to 290153.
