well, this is clearly stating that the necessary kernel module can't be
loaded... I don't know where one might find the module itself (or the
source to build from), but please see by other comments below before
deciding on the best action...

Old kernel could most certainly be a problem. I tried searching on
kernel.org for some patches related to this issue, and the only think I
could come up with (which may or may not be related to your issue) is a
patch for a relatively recent kernel (2.6.30-rc5). The link is here, in
case you're interested: http://patchwork.kernel.org/patch/24796/

Just for more info though, Ubuntu 6.06.2LTS has already reached it's
end-of-life (i.e. support has stopped) since a new LTS release has been
out for quite some time (Ubuntu Hardy, 8.04LTS). I know this is true for
desktops, but time might not be up yet for servers. Either way, is there
some reason you can't upgrade to Ubuntu 8.04LTS Server? I know some
people have massively customized layouts that are a PITA to move, but
just curious.

I've gotta sleep now, bot I'll continue to look for info about this, and
hopefully somebody with a little more knowledge on the subject will be
able to lend a hand also :)
