Have you set your WPA up correctly? Beside the BSSID in WICD, there is a
triangle. Click it and enter your credentials.

I have seen cases where the cert doesn't take.
In most cases, it's as simple as turning off your computer, rebooting
the router and then rebooting your machine. You should get a prompt for
your key. Enter it, all done.
