I would suggest you go over the Scribus docs very carefully to try to
find out why the options is there. Hint: it may be able to 'import' PDF
files but not in the sense you have in your mind.

Lastly, as I suggested earlier, have you posted this on Scribus's ML? If
not, why not?

Please reply to this list only. I read this list on its corresponding
newsgroup on gmane.org. Replies sent to my email address are just
filtered to a folder in my mailbox and get periodically deleted without
ever having been read.
