sharing files between ubuntu computers

Obviously the 192.168.2.x subnet can see the 192.168.1.x subnet, but
not the other way around.

I don't understand it.

It's got to do with the routing table for the 192.168.1.x subnet, that
you don't have access to (if I got that right, if this is all
determined by the provider).
