So, why are users trying to make it read the format?

In another recent post, Colin cited wikipedia where it is stated that
scribus does not support PDF imports/reads.

So, it is reasonable to say that the case is solved. Stop trying to make
 scribus read PDF files.

Please reply to this list only. I read this list on its corresponding
newsgroup on gmane.org. Replies sent to my email address are just
filtered to a folder in my mailbox and get periodically deleted without
