Amarok 1.4 not playing MP3s

You have to check wich engine you're using in amarok, in case of you're using 
Ubuntu probably you have to choose gstreamer and install the 
gstreamer-plugins (named gstreamer0.10-plugins-x where x stands for base, 
good, ugly, bad). If you're using kde instead you have to install 
libxine1-ffmpeg.
