Wireless Internet

How easy is it to use and configure wireless internet with Ubuntu? I've had
problems with various Linux platforms not recognizing my wireless card for
use in the past. As a graduate student i need access to the internet via
wireless and would like to know before I set up a dual boot system. Thanks.
