gThumb is set as default for my system and allows me to delete on my
Canon PowerShot A75. Open Nautilus|Edit|Preferences|Media|Photos|Open
gThumb import Tool - or just set to 'Ask what to do' if you want to make
an alternate selection when the camera is plugged in.
