Root partition full...how should I free up space?

Hi,
1. Do you have any other partitions? if yes, you may consider to boot on
a livecd and use gparted to extend the root partition. (Remember to back
up your stuff)
2. I recommend you have a look at filelight - it is very useful to find
out WHAT uses all the disk space.
