right, and thats very sad, it used to behave a lot better than other
lists i have ever been subscribed to. it got worse since 2006/07 with a
tendency downwards and if you search for buzzwords like "asshole" or
"idiot" in the archives between 2004 and today you will see what i mean
and when such terms showed up first and how frequently they are used
today.

there is no reason to forbid heated discussion (as long as participants
stay respectful towards each other) censorship is not the target
here ...

again (as i posted various times now in other threads) this is not about
moderation but about a team of people that have resources to put time
into taking responsibility for the list. it is not about a list police
but it is about having a group of people that can take last resort
actions if something goes over the edge.
