GRUB ERROR 17 help!!!!

Hi thank you all for your replies, sorry I was not specific about the
real problem, grub loading error 17,
The computer stalled, the lights work, the starter (cd) works, but it
won't move. It accepts any cd or dvd, restarts but no action, dead, same
message grub loading error 17. John.
