nvidia-glx-180 cannot get 1600x1200 resolution

Hi all
I have an nVidia 7200 GS, running on A fesh Jaunty install.
I tried to run nvidia-xconfig after installing:
- nvidia-glx-173
- nvidia-glx-177
- nvidia-glx-180

But no way: I cannot get 1600x1200 resolution.
With the same card, on a Intrepid and the same screen works at 1600x1200.

I am now running 180, and no way, I am stuck with 800x600.
On a 19" screen it's quite "big"... when used with 1600x1200 on the same 
screen... :-)

After runnin "nvidia-xconfig", there is the "Driver "nvidia"" entry in 
the xorg.conf, but after rebooting, no even nvidia splash logo at X start.

The screen might be so bad that it doesnt give it resolution to the 
card, but I already tried to force modelines by inserting a result of 
"gtf 1600 1200 60" but no way...

Any tips?
