Fedora is not from the early days of Linux.
Linux was around a long time before Fedora.
I started in 2000 with RH 7.1, IIRC, and Linux had already been around 
for about 9 years, then.  Fedora wasn't released for until a few years 
later, after at least a decade of Linux.
