How can I upgrade ubuntu 8.04 to Jaunty from console?

These commands are used for package upgrade, which can't used for
version upgrading. :(

I googled this, but didn't

$ sudo aptitude install update-manager-core
$ sudo do-release-upgrad


Actually, my problem is that I found that bitbake always met segfault
error. Google/Mail lists couldn't help since I met this error last
month.


Currently, I found my desktop can use bitbake without segfault error. So
I'm planning to upgrade the server.


Maybe anyone have better idea that can simply solve my problem. Since I
have setup lots of configuration both for web/sql/backup/mail ....

Humm...  you are absolutely right. And I also hope that I can handle the
problem without upgrading my server.
