Wine apps display OFF desktop....

As I discovered in the course of my trying to figure it out - the
problem wasn't with Wine but with my display, Ubuntu was having issues
with the 2 displays. After all the reading I did the answer is to turn
off (disable) the laptop monitor, and the only way to do that is to
ignore the Display app that is in Preferences and install and run
arandr.
