+1 (of thousands?)

Not only does the thing just pop up whenever it damn well pleases, but
it doesn't actually even include the most recent security updates. Today
on two systems I had to manually click the 'Check' button in order to
see the apport security update options that I had already seen in Hardy.
Not to mention that the thing pops up like a bad spamvert on top of
already running windows. I thought that I'd left 'helpers' like this
behind long ago when I abandoned windwows (MS Office 'Clippy' & pop up
spam advertisements on customers infected systems).

The intention may have been well meant, but the end result is *very*
irritating. I'm off to http://preview.tinyurl.com/dmmq62 to apply the
bandaid... :-0
