    Yes there IS a way to fix the HP laptop I own. Here in New Mexico 
there are still places without WiFi coverage. I took mine to the Cotton 
Gin which is closed now and there was no wifi signals of any sort.

    There the method I gave works fine. Just don't load windows and it 
will be fine.
