    First WIDC does not come with 9.04 but it is easy to get with 
apt-get wicd which I did on Jaunty. It did delete the network manager 
software almost in total. I went to the web page and did everything 
indicated and WDIC tried to work but it was not able to turn on the 
laptop WiFi hardware and it does not work.
