Help with start up and sound card

Regarding problem #1 -- I had the same issue with the BusyBox screen
when trying to run Ubuntu 8.04 on my new desktop PC. I'm assuming that
you're pressing the reset button at that point. Are you saying that
Ubuntu then boots? If so, it would appear that your issue is different.
