Ubuntu on Asus/Acer netbooks

I have also heard good things about the Asus systems with Ubuntu.
Dell's 9" mini can be purchased with Ubuntu pre-installed, so that says
something for the hardware support.

I have a bunch of friends that have Asus EeePC and have installed Ubuntu
on them. I personally run it on a Lenovo S10 netbook without issues as
well as my friends with Asus.
