You cannot imagine why people get so worked up about this precisely
_because_ the last time that you had to kill X was several years ago.
There are people who need to do this every week or even more often.
Yes, it is indicative of bugs in the software that must be fixed, but
why take away the workaround?

How worked up would you be if this was taken from you around the time
that you did need it?
