Ubuntu not working properly on netbook

Have you tried running 8.10? Does it have the same problems or does it 
work properly. If the problem is new to 9.04 then you should probably 
file a bug report and decide if 9.04 if usable for you. If you have the 
same problems with 8.10 then look for people who have gotten it to work. 
(There might already be a bug report.) I bet that there are fixes for 
8.10 out there and if those work you could try them on 9.04 and see if 
those get you up and running. Hope this helps.
