Interesting, I blame you.  Every single message on this list says
"Ubuntu user technical support, not for general discussions" and
"ubuntu-users".  /You/ are responsible for not causing the list spam.
you should have removed your mailing lists before submitting your
address book to LinkedIn or explicitly unchecked them after they were
imported (I know Facebook does this).
