question about Jaunty screen res

I have used acer xxx through the last few releases.  If jaunty didn't
recognize your nvidia video card then you can try the drivers directly.

Normally the process is:
**** Be very careful with these steps *******

ctl+alt+f1 (to get a terminal away from x)
sudo /etc/init.d/gdm stop
(run nvidia script to install drivers per website instructions)
on successful build
sudo /etc/init.d/gdm start

The website has complete instructions and this was the process I used at
first to detect and use nvidia.  Hope it helps.
