Interesting but I just also checked my work system which is extremely similar,
1G ram, multiple desktops, FF, chrome, many terminals, skype, apache, mysql,
etc. I am a creature of habit, so very much the same set up. But ...

Still high, but there is 1G difference. I am real curious now where that might
be.
