porting ubuntu on ARM9

Hi,

I am Savita Pawar. Very new to Ubuntu. I want to port ubuntu for ARM9 platform ie for i.MX27 processor.

I found in net that Ubuntu 9.04 is ported for ARM11 platform ie for i.MX51 processor. Can i port Ubuntu 9.04 to ARM9 platform? 
I found on net, the ubuntu 9.04 image to install on the i.MX51 board.
Is it possible to create or cross compile this image for i.Mx27 processor?

How can i port any version of Ubuntu on i.MX27 platform?
