Pointing Karl toward freebsd is unconscionably cruel, for the freebsd folks that is. ;)
I figure that if the fedora folks did it first, it's fair play for us to ask the Mint folks to do their part for Karl and country.

If your having to much trouble with Ubuntu you can give Mint OS [0],[1] a try. It tries to be even more user-friendly than Ubuntu! It tries (very well) to be multimedia/flash/adobe/WIRELESS ready. It has admin tools that 99% of end users, no matter what skill level they're at, find easy to use to perform even the most complex system-admin functions.
