X11 help wanted

Hi Chris,

What you suggest is an interesting option, but I can't
get it to work.  The problem is that I can't set DISPLAY
variable from that very ssh command.  So R uses the
default DISPLAY setting and the clock appears somewhere
else, not on U's screen.

I can use xhost in a more discriminating fashion (instead
of + argument) on U and then change the DISPLAY
variable from the ssh session with R and issue X command
from that session.

Regards,

Yoji

In some case you need ssh -Y instead of ssh -X
