Upgrade Time! But I need help.

yeah same here, i dont believe theres a way to upgrade using the live
cd, only the alternative cd.  like karl says though it may be a good
idea to shrink the partition you have now with 8.10? (i assume) and then
install 9.04 on a separate partition. (you can do this with the
partitioner at install time) this will give you 2 different versions to
boot into, and also give you another partition to "test" new versions as
they come along and still have your "everyday" partition to use daily.
thats what i do anyway.
