CD/DVD Cann't use

According to the reported capabilities of your drive, you should have no 
problem reading DVD's using mplayer.

mplayer DVD://

with the DVD inserted should start something on the DVD. And

mplayer DVD://1

should start the first title, usually the movie.

If this still doesn't work, install libdvdcss2 from the Medibuntu 
repository at medibuntu.org. I think they have repositories for at least 
Feisty through Jaunty. And most DVD's will refuse to play without this 
package, even using mplayer.
