Here is my lshw:
pata_amd
*-cdrom
description: DVD-RAM writer
product: DVDRW LH-20A1P
vendor: LITE-ON
physical id: 0.1.0
bus info: scsi at 0:0.1.0
logical name: /dev/cdrom
logical name: /dev/dvd
logical name: /dev/scd0
logical name: /dev/sr0
version: KL0A
capabilities: removable audio cd-r cd-rw dvd dvd-r dvd-ram
configuration: ansiversion=5 status=open
My equipment is different but looks to be installed just as yours is,
and mine works just fine. Please try a music and a data CD-Rom and see
if it works good with both. Then try a DVD movie.
