9.04 can't find second hard drive.

yes the jumper switch was moved to the slave position, and when I
tried booting from it I moved it back to master position...

I don't recall having read that the HDD mode switch, or whatever it's called, was checked to see if it was set for Primary, Slave or one of the more useless settings some HDDs have. As I recall, the OP had the original drive placed in the slave position and moved the new drive to the Primary position.  Hope my memory is correct.
