Unexplained network traffic

thanks alot for the advice.

By the way i got it wrong the last email it was incoming and not outgoing.

iptraf's output suggested that what I see was coming form  this :
UDP (1320 bytes) from 10.2.17.4:60808 to 224.0.0.56:46136 on eth0
(I am 10.2.17.29)
so the problem was solved by pulling out the cable from 10.2.17.4.

Further googling turned it to be a pulseaudio misconfiguration. The
guy was inadvertently broadcasting his music to the whole network or
something like that.

I just love pulseaudio. Always there to make my life entertaining. The
not funny kind of entertaining.
