Well, I just had something else happen.
I was watching the training dvd using VLC (same as before) with only
Opera, Thunderbird, a Tomboy note and gedit open and my screen kinds
studdered a bit and then all the apps had a weird look to them. They
werent smooth - they were edgy. Reminds me of going from XP default
theme and turning off all the nice stuff - you get that hard looking
windows 95/98 looking desktop.
A error popped up really fast about bonobo had failed - or something
similar.
This is from the sys logs from that point in time:
Jul 5 10:40:43 wadesmart init: tty1 main process (6523) killed by TERM
signal
Jul 5 10:40:45 wadesmart gdm[6306]: GLib-CRITICAL:

Jul 5 10:40:45 wadesmart gdm[6306]: WARNING: Request for invalid
configuration key xdmcp/Enable=false
Jul 5 10:40:45 wadesmart avahi-daemon[5601]: Got SIGTERM, quitting.
Jul 5 10:40:45 wadesmart avahi-daemon[5601]: Leaving mDNS multicast
group on interface eth0.IPv4 with address 192.168.1.104.
Jul 5 10:40:46 wadesmart postfix/master[5932]: terminating on signal 15
Jul 5 10:40:47 wadesmart NetworkManager: <debug> [1246808447.382713]
nm_hal_device_removed(): Device removed (hal udi is
'/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/platform_vboxdrv_0').
Im shutting down my computer now to open it up and make sure there is
nothing blocking or covering anything. (a mouse maybe :D) (just joking).
Im running 8.04 but that doesnt mean Im not all of the sudden having a
similar problem.
What is a TED video?
