Intrepid, gdm and thinkfinger

Since upgrading to Intrepid (from Hardy) gdm ignores my finger when I
try to authenticate. And it is still the same finger ... :)
It still asks "Password or Swipe finger" but I have to use a
password.
In the console (eg tty1) I can authenticate by swiping my finger so it
not realy a thinkfinger or pam issue.
Any ideas how to convince gdm?
Regards
Johann
