http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-116289.html
I found that link in the forums and I have been following along what
they were doing.
The last bit: creating a link from one file to the other:
This:
-s /usr/lib/cups/backend-available/serial /usr/lib/cups/backend/serial
produces this:
wadesmart at wadesmart:/usr/lib/cups/backend-available$ sudo
/usr/lib/cups/backend-available/serial /usr/lib/cups/backend/serial
Usage: /usr/lib/cups/backend-available/serial job-id user title copies
options [file]
So I thought they meant do sudo :
wadesmart at wadesmart:/usr/lib/cups/backend-available$ sudo -s
/usr/lib/cups/backend-available/serial /usr/lib/cups/backend/serial
/usr/lib/cups/backend-available/serial:
/usr/lib/cups/backend-available/serial: cannot execute binary file
wadesmart at wadesmart:/usr/lib/cups/backend-available$
