You could always try the "brute-force" method - open the PDF in GIMP
(select an appropriate size and resolution for the poster), then erase
the default text and put your own in there. Not elegant, but should
work, unless the graphics are too complex to edit the image easily.
I'm a graphic designer - if you want to pass the PDF along, I'll poke
it a bit in AI and InDesign. No promises though ;)
