That's it exactly. I'm much more concerned about unintentionally deleting 
files in my $HOME than I'm concerned about a Linux or even cross platform 
virus.

I'd rather reinstall Kubuntu and restore my $HOME from backups than spend 
some time installing and maintaining AV software.
