Finding executable files

The dpkg command looked like a good method, but no one mentioned another
way that I use.
If you installed with Synaptic, simply run Synaptic, do a search on the
package name. After it is found select the package in the search
results, then in the lower pane click on the "Installed Files" tab and
you will see there every file installed with that package. This might
work with packages installed with apt as well, but as I never use apt I
can't say for sure.
