Well I recommend that you start to contact the authors of dosemu/gtkterm
et al, as I've no further advise.
That said; you never did detail just: 1) what data you were losing, 2)
specifically what you are trying to do with gtkterminal/others, 4) what
serial device you are attempting to communicate with, and 4) what steps
you've actually taken to troubleshoot the original problem.

So, let's go back to square one, ignore are subsequent advise/posts, and
ask that you provide the basic information above. Then perhaps someone
can help you further.
